Acclaimed title reigns end in brutality.

Last night's WWE Hell In A Cell 2020 pay-per-view brought two major title changes, as Sasha Banks and Randy Orton became SmackDown Women's Champion and WWE Champion respectively.

Banks' triumph over Bayley was the first switch. Outdoing her 'Role Model' rival in a stellar Hell In A Cell clash on par with (and calling back to) their old NXT classics, 'The Boss' became the third women's Grand Slam Champion in WWE history by taking the blue belt for the first time. She has previously held the Raw Women's, NXT Women's, and WWE Women's Tag Team Championships.

This was also the first time Banks has successfully won a singles title on pay-per-view since SummerSlam 2017, when she felled Raw Champion Alexa Bliss. Sasha has never successfully defended a main roster singles belt.

Elsewhere, Randy Orton defeated WWE Champion Drew McIntyre to become a 14-time World Champion in the night's main event. McIntyre had defeated 'The Viper' in the previous two bouts, first at SummerSlam 2020 then again at Clash Of Champions 2020, though he was felled last night, eating an RKO after a failed Claymore attempt.

Orton and McIntyre stared each other down after the bell, suggesting the feud may not be over.
