2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW: Battle Of The Belts II

1. No World Title (Again)

Finally from the negatives, this.

Sure, Hangman Page and Adam Cole worked a spirited 'Texas Death Match' on the latest episode of Rampage, but therein lies the problem. No-one should hate the Friday night show getting that first taste of World Title credibility, but AEW booked that on the same weekend as a card called Battle Of The freakin' Belts.

The company's top championship was totally absent from the first instalment, so the sequel could've done with that 'Texas Death Match' itself. Instead, Tony Khan decided that Rampage was the right place for it. Again, fine, although maybe don't format your weekend this way in the future.

Another problem: Battle Of The Belts II didn't feature one rivalry that could touch Hangman vs. Cole. There was the TNT Title situation that everyone's had a hard time getting onboard with, an exhibition-style ROH bout and a hastily-assembled Women's Title feud.

It wasn't quite enough. Get the World Title on there, for crying out loud.
