2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW: Battle Of The Belts II

Ups...

2. Samoa Joe Makes The Save

There's something right about seeing Samoa Joe sporting the ROH Television Title and marching to the ring with a lead pipe to kick some heel arse. That happened on Saturday night, and it was glorious. Being brutally honest, it was also one of the only redeeming qualities from the whole Ring Of Honor segment.

Joe is gonna kill you.

The Samoan is also gonna be a vital cog in the machine for AEW chief Khan's revived company, so it's cool he got a taste of the spotlight here at Battle Of The Belts. Further, would somebody please book Joe in a match against Jonathan Gresham? That's the kind of showdown worthy of cards like this.

Stick them in the ring, give them 20+ minutes and watch the pair produce a hard-hitting classic with technical elements that impresses the crap out of everyone. Or, y'know, just book Joe like this. Have him walk to the ring with a weapon and intimidate all comers as live crowds go wild.
