2 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 3)

1. They Got Some Story In There

Firstly, this guy isn't a huge fan of the way The Elite feel they need to do everything they can think of during matches without restraint. It'd be nice to see them tone it down just a little, and only do spots when they fit, but that's their style and it's undeniably popular.

Also, it'd be silly of anyone to claim the opener wasn't all-action.

You know what you're getting with these Trios Title matches by now. Psychology falls by the wayside in favour of spots, spots, spots, but AEW did manage to squeeze some story context into things on Rampage. The dynamic between Ethan Page, Matt Hardy and even Isiah Kassidy was the best it has been on TV thus far.

Their drama played into the finish too, which was appreciated. No, there was no real threat of a trio who don't even see eye-to-eye upsetting The Elite and taking their belts, but the match had a cool flow to it and scratched that Bucks/Omega itch for those who wanted that.
