2 Ups & 5 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Mar 5)

Downs...

5. Why?

King Corbin Sami Zayn

Last week, Sami Zayn and 'King' Corbin formed one of those cobbled-together one-off tag-teams for a loss to The Street Profits. At least, that's what everyone thought it'd be, but nooooo. WWE brought the heels together again (sort of), and had them tease teaming up before working individual singles matches.

What is the point of this?

The Profits are still the only babyface duo that SmackDown's writers book as a full-time team, and this isn't doing anything for either Sami or Corbin. WWE are only highlighting how paper-thin the tag ranks are on Friday nights, being honest, and it's just not good enough.

Corbin vs. Montez Ford and Zayn vs. Angelo Dawkins ate up far too much TV time for something that will be forgotten about shortly when The Profits move back onto Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode. This is a complete and utter waste of Zayn's outraged conspiracy theorist character too.
