2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE Raw (May 23)

6. The Juxtaposition Of THE Judgment Day

It really is a shame we have to endure an insomnia-curing promo every week from THE Judgment Day, because if this trio just came out and beat people up, it could be a really positive experience.

But the truth is that listening to Damian Priest, Rhea Ripley and Edge insult the fans using Heel 101 verbiage (Sheeple! Fat and lazy, eating Cheetos!) and speak in nonsensical prose is just plain irritating. It’s not “boo this faction” bad, it’s “turn the TV off and walk away for 10 minutes” bad.

The worst part is that this overshadows a group that could actually be something. Edge apparently believes in what he’s doing and is trying to build Priest and Ripley up as his charges, but if fans are already zoned out, is it really helping?

Please lock whoever is writing these promos in a closet, or at least feed them some Prozac.
