We shouldn’t hold last week too harshly against WWE when it comes to booking the main event, which had to be changed on the fly due to Sasha Banks & Naomi walking out.

But after booking a pretty decent main event with Asuka defeating Becky Lynch to earn a Raw Women’s Championship match at Hell in a Cell, it seemed like WWE’s work was done. That is, until they decided to run it back this week as well, but with the opposite result. This time it was a match that felt strangely rushed, with inadvertent contact between Asuka and Bianca Belair, a near-count-out, and a quick rollup to give Lynch the victory and turn the title match into a triple threat.

All of it felt tacked on, and it turned what should be a PLE-quality match between two of the biggest stars on Raw into just another TV match, thrown together and announced mid-show.
