2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 21)

6. Why Did This Happen Twice?

Sheamus Ricochet Ridge Holland

Sheamus already got revenge for Ridge Holland by shooting Ricochet out of the skies with a Brogue Kick on last Friday's episode. That seemed questionable at the time, but at least Rico looked good in defeat. That defo wasn't the case on the latest SmackDown.

Jobbing him out twice in quick succession was totally unnecessary.

It's back to square one for Ricochet. He failed to make a dent during this latest mini-push (if it could even be called that), and Christ only knows what WWE have in mind for him next. The thought of appearing as an extra in backstage segments must be torturous for the man.

Surely, if anything, Rico should've been in there vs. Holland anyway. He was at ringside, and it didn't make much sense that he wasn't in there battling away with the dude who shattered his nose. The E needed to do something different than a standard Sheamus squash though.
