2 Ups & 7 Downs From WWE SmackDown (Jan 21)
5. Tedious, Tedious, Tedious

Speaking of tedious.
There was nothing new this week in the never-ending Sonya Deville vs. Naomi tale. Sonya assumed the role of referee (subtle bonus points to Charles Robinson for his outraged performance), then screwed Naomi over like usual. This has droned on and on and on and on and on.
WWE aren't even getting good matches out of the angle, which is plain sad. Plus, Charlotte Flair has become the latest to get sucked into a story she shouldn't have anything to do with. Even Adam Pearce torching Sonya's power trip and booking a one-on-one match vs. Naomi for next week's show failed to hit.
What has Pearce been doing since last summer? What - he hasn't noticed Deville screwing over Naomi at every turn, and happily waited until late-January to do something about it? Hopefully, Naomi gets her babyface win and everyone can move on from this increasingly flat story.
