2 Ups And 4 Downs From WWE Mae Young Classic (Sept 12)

DOWNS…

4. Plummeting Quality

Last week, the opening episode of the Mae Young Classic gave us four matches that were all pretty watchable, with a couple standing out as quality contests.

But this week’s show offered up four matches that were instantly forgettable overall. Sure, there were a couple bright spots, but there was nothing to write home about. Some of the matches were somewhat disappointing when you consider this is supposed to be handpicked top talent from around the globe.

Hopefully, this episode was an aberration, and the remaining eight first-round matches will rise to the level of the first four. It’s also possible the women were told to keep it in first gear for the first round, but Wednesday’s bouts were not up to par.
