20 Best WWE Matches Of The Decade (So Far)

15. Daniel Bryan Vs. CM Punk - Over The Limit 2012

CM Punk and Daniel Bryan have a lot of history together. The Straight-Edge superstar and the Yes man were trading blows in Ring of Honor ten years before they had their big World Heavyweight Title match at Over the Limit in 2012. The match worked so well because their styles, as well as their stories, were so similar. Both men had to overcome extreme prejudice to make it in WWE. They were told that they were too small, weren't charismatic enough and didn't know how to wrestle the WWE way. It must have been very satisfying, then, when they went out and completely stole the show. Bryan and Punk had a slow-burner, starting out with submissions and other ground work before kicking it into high gear and trading big moves. The finish was inventive, too, with Bryan pulling too hard on the Yes Lock, causing Punk to fall on top of him. Bryan essentially pinned himself, but Punk was tapping after the finish, meaning Bryan had a claim to a rematch. Ah, the rematch. More on that later...
