20 Dumbest Gimmick Matches In WCW History

5. Monster Truck Sumo Match

This isn't even a wrestling match except in the loosest sense, but it was positively Olympian in its stupidity, so here it is. Leading up to this match at Halloween Havoc 1995, The Giant broke Hulk Hogan's neck -- with big, theatrical Steven Seagal snaps -- at least three times. Hogan wasn't deterred though, because he would have to face The Giant twice in one night: in a regular match, obviously, but also in a Monster Truck Sumo Match. This because The Giant ran over Hogan's prized motorcycle with an unrelated monster truck that he apparently just drove around as his regular vehicle.. You can't expect Giant to fold himself up like Very Tall Man from The Simpsons, I guess.

Hogan and Giant were each supplied with garishly-decorated themed trucks -- Hogan's had big fiberglass arms on it -- and had to try to push the other man's truck outside a huge circle drawn on the roof of Detroit's Cobo Hall. After several minutes of scintillating back-and-forth action -- literally two trucks pushing back and forth -- Hulk Hogan defeated The Giant. What a shocking development.

Definitive Moment: Apparent bad sport The Giant attempting to break Hogan's neck again following his loss and falling off the roof instead. Paul Wight apparently died in 1995 and the last 20 years have all been an elaborate Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge fantasy. Sorry, everyone.
