It's hardly news to anybody who had to sit through many of the episodes involving them, but the 'Guest Host' idea for Monday Night Raw was usually dreadful. In fact, throughout the entire run of the idea, there were only a handful of these celebrity hosts who seemed to know anything about the WWE product, or were at least willing to invest a little time to researching what they were about to become involved in. It's unlikely that TV host Bob Barker has watched wrestling every week for years, keeping up to date with the latest characters, storylines and titleholders, but he nonetheless showed bags of enthusiasm for his role as guest host. Memorably, Barker would be at loggerheads with none other than Chris Jericho, something which had fans cracking up. Seeing the aging former host of 'The Price Is Right' (in North America, at least) standing up for himself against one of the most world class performers in the world of wrestling was truly funny, and Jericho has since remarked in his books that the entire thing was called off the cuff, not pre-planned as many imagined.
