The earliest match to take up residence on this list, AJ Styles vs. Jerry Lynn vs. Low Ki happened all the way back on August 28, 2002. This was mere months after the first weekly pay-per-view broadcast in June of that year, and already TNA had a match they could look back on as one of the best in their history.

X Division matches were quickly becoming the main selling point of TNA events, and the trio on hand for this one didn't let the side down. TNA was put on the map by the efforts of Styles, Lynn and Low Ki, who hurled themselves into crazy bumps to the delight of the audience.

The ending is just insane, a Cradle Piledriver from a ladder slays Low Ki and allows Lynn the chance to climb up and grab the dangling title. Notably, ladders don't even come into play for a good few minutes, allowing the competitors to build the drama.

Even more was to come from AJ Styles in particular, but Low Ki was an independent darling around this time, and Lynn had just come off of a failed WWE run. He had something to prove, and he did so here.
