20 Greatest TNA Matches Ever

3. AJ Styles Vs. Christopher Daniels (Against All Odds 2005)

Real-life friends away from the ring, AJ Styles and Christopher Daniels were TNA stalwarts by 2005. On a card headlined by the NWA Heavyweight Title match between Jeff Jarrett and Kevin Nash, the younger pair offered up something a little different. Given 30 minutes to work with, AJ and Daniels really couldn't lose.

Contested under 'Iron Man' rules, the match was wonderfully worked. There were scant few actual pinfalls and submissions, something that put over the high level of competition between both men. Daniels took the lead, before AJ managed to tie things up just minutes from the end of the time limit.

As the clock ticked down, Daniels put Styles in a submission hold, but was unable to make him tap before the bell. Overtime occurred quickly, and it was AJ who picked up the win in the end.

Despite coming out on the losing end, Daniels looked brilliant in his efforts to dethrone AJ for the TNA X Division Title. Later that year, Daniels and Styles would be joined by another man to work more magic with.
