This was nasty.

Wrestling Asuka during the special Tribute to the Troops edition of SmackDown last December, Charlotte Flair fell from the turnbuckles as 'The Empress of Tomorrow' attempted what looked like a Spanish Fly. While Asuka managed to have a relatively safe landing, Flair's leg bounced off the top rope before she then landed on her neck. Luckily, her neck survived the impact - her leg, however? Not so much. A torn ACL, MCL, and meniscus was the doctor's prognosis.

In a copy of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter issued at the beginning of 2024, Dave Meltzer noted that internally 'The Queen' was listed as being out for around nine months, with irregular update videos showing Charlotte getting back to her usual self.

Returning: By the end of 2024.
