15. Edge Makes Unadvertised Return At 2010 Royal Rumble
There were only three men left in the ring as the clock counted down for the 29th man in the Royal Rumble and all of them were main eventers: John Cena, Shawn Michaels and Chris Jericho. It was great moment as the clock counted out for the next man up and then we heard "on this day I see clearly" as former World Champion Edge made his return after a nearly seven month absence due to a torn Achilles tendon. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-Oya40o6lsQ&feature=kp Edge wasn't advertised for the Royal Rumble. We thought it might happen, but we had no idea if it was actually going to take place because it was such a serious injury that there was a chance he wouldn't be ready. The crowd went wild as Edge hit a Spear on Jericho, Michaels and Cena. It was a great surprise return for a WWE legend who had spent most of his career as a heel, but he was cheered from this moment on because we didn't know if he would return from his injury.
