Despite other events having bigger attendances, WrestleMania 31 was actually the highest grossing live event in WWE history. The 2015 event earned $12.6 million, with 76,976 fans packing out the Levi's Stadium. Higher ticket prices and the newness of the stadium were a contributing factor in the riches made. Credit should also go to Brock Lesnar for being such a huge main event draw for the company. Once again, WrestleMania 32, with 100,000 fans, is likely to break the highest grossing record.
