20 Most Anticipated Wrestling Matches Of 2026

16. Jay White vs Kyle Fletcher

Cody Rhodes CM Punk
AEW

Despite some wildly suspect booking during his tenure with the company, you'd be hard pushed to find an AEW fan who doesn't believe in 'Switchblade' Jay White. One of the best NJPW wrestlers of his generation, he has always delivered the goods, no matter what creative he has been handed. After a lengthy injury, 2026 is surely the year that Tony Khan corrects the course of White's fortunes and works to ensure that he becomes one of the cornerstones of the promotion.

Kyle Fletcher has had no such problems with how he's been booked. Arguably AEW's breakout star of 2025, Fletcher's arrogance is as infuriating as it is justified. Holding the TNT Title, beating Hiromu Takahashi at Forbidden Door, and challenging 'Hangman' Adam Page for the World Championship at one of the biggest shows on AEW's calendar, Fletcher is already established as an A-list star in AEW.

This is a perfect match for both men. There would be no shame for Fletcher to lose to one of the world's most respected wrestlers, and this contest could reestablish Jay White as someone AEW really should be pushing to the moon throughout 2026.
