The genesis of the Mr. McMahon character came at a crucial point for the WWE, and the world of wrestling in general. Authority figures were being used to generate heat, and get over superstars, by the notion that the guys in charge couldn't be touched, and therefore couldn't get their comeuppance within the confines of the ring. Nobody played this role any better than Vince McMahon-- and his "No Chance in Hell" entrance theme was a huge contributor. When one thinks of Vince McMahon, rap music isn't typically what you'd think of, but when longtime WWE producer Jim Johnston was commissioned to produce a theme for the chairman, he didn't fail to deliver. Along with the help of rapper Peter Bursuker, the two created entrance music in which would still bring fans to their feet 15 years later. McMahon's impeccable ability to play the heel role, coupled with his infamous stroll to the ring helped make "No Chance in Hell" one of the all-time greats as it pertains to theme songs.
