20 Most Revealing AEW Instagram Posts Of The Week (May 16)

Topping a mid-week show as crammed full of blood and guts as, well, Blood and Guts was always going to be a tall order. But it's safe to say that there was enough on offer on the latest edition of Dynamite to satiate the appetites of even the most critical of All Elite fan just two week's out from Double or Nothing 2021.

Jon Moxley met wrestling royalty in an IWGP United States Championship defence against Yuji Nagata capable of bruising you in the comfort of your own home. The Young Bucks split the unit of SCU both figuratively and literally in a bloody AEW World Tag Title epic. And Miro made mince meat of the now-former TNT Champion Darby Allin.

That being said, for every electric wrestling showcase and heart-breaking booking decision, there was also the odd Wednesday night misstep. A divisive Cody Rhodes spell on the mic, an unfortunate Orange Cassidy injury leading to a clunky PPV set-up, and The Inner Circle playing one of the Attitude Era's greatest alcohol-soaked hits a week on from cement-gate. Dynamite did an awful lot right, but there's still work to be done before Stadiums get Stampeded and Nightmares meet... Factories? You get the point.

There are still two more no doubt action-packed editions of Dynamite to go until we get to the second AEW PPV of the year, however, so there's still plenty of time for games to be changed and spanners to be thrown in the works.
