Every year around this time, wrestling fans begin to think about the dream matches that have a possibility of happening at WrestleMania. After all, recent WrestleManias have featured matches like Triple H vs. Sting, The Rock vs. John Cena, and Shane McMahon vs. The Undertaker.

Fans also like to predict which former stars might make a return to the ring in time for WrestleMania. WWE may never be able to deliver the in-ring return of Stone Cold Steve Austin or The Heartbreak Kid Shawn Michaels, but one superstar that did return this year that seemed like a longshot was Bill Goldberg.

Unsatisfied with his WWE run, Goldberg had been very outspoken against WWE in recent years and even had some choice words for company executive Triple H.

Seeing Goldberg appear in WWE's latest video game, WWE 2K17, was the first step towards reconciliation. This was also the path taken by the Ultimate Warrior and Sting that led to them headlining the WWE Hall Of Fame.

When it was announced Goldberg would return to face Brock Lesnar at Survivor Series, fans expected Lesnar to avenge his WrestleMania XX loss. When Goldberg finally stepped into the ring and slayed The Beast in under two minutes, it was shocking enough to be considered the second-most unbelieveable moment of 2016.
