20 Most Underappreciated WWE Stars Of The 21st Century

15. Lance Storm

The years Lance Storm spent in ECW cemented his reputation as the next great carrier of the Calgary wrestling legacy, and when he came to WCW, it looked like he was finally getting his big break. Within months of his debut, Storm had held the United States Championship, the Hardcore Championship, and the Cruiserweight Champion simultaneously, leading Team Canada and becoming one of the company's top heels in the process.

There's little doubt that Storm would have gotten a run as WCW World Heavyweight Champion had the company lasted another year, but it was bought out by WWE in 2001. Even though Storm was chosen to kickstart the Invasion on Raw and he won the Intercontinental Title, he never came near the heights that were predicted for him in WCW. Instead, he was often belittled - including a particularly awful storyline where Steve Austin called him "boring" on TV - or simply ignored.

At only 35 years of age, Storm retired from full-time in-ring competition. He now trains the next generation of stars at his wrestling school in Calgary.
