The hell was the point of Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford last night?

The duo were fannying around backstage, sans legends, in a skit designed solely to banter Ford off. Dawkins was applying eyedrops when his partner approached him as he’d been “skating with the pilots”/hanging out with Rob Van Dam, and weed lol. Montez didn’t get an invite. Mark Henry was there too, apparently, as were Kelly Kelly and Ric Flair, before The Boogieman showed up, freaked everybody out, and Dawkins walked out to take a call from The Godfather.

There wasn’t a more pointless moment on the entire show, with the NXT Tag Team Champions appearing only to fill a minute of airtime. Surely a more substantial legend segment could’ve been thrown in here instead?
