20 Reasons Why WWE The Horror Show At Extreme Rules Was An Absolute Mess

1. Who Is This For?

Bray Wyatt vs. Braun Strowman was WWE's worst cinematic match so far - worse, even, than One Last Beat - and such a broad failure that it asks the question of who, exactly, the promotion was trying to appeal to here.

There were none of the Firefly Fun House's smarts, leaving those who approach these things looking for something earnestly well put-together with nought but a pile of big, dumb nonsense to sift through. The Boneyard Match's B-movie charm was completely absent because the whole thing took itself so damn seriously from start to finish. The horror aspects were laughable. We didn't even get the ninjas vs. Viking Raiders/Street Profits so-bad-it's-hilarious appeal, with none of the Swamp Fight's set pieces conjuring that kind of perverse belly laughs.

Just an ominshambles, really. Drown it in the swamp from which it came.
