6. The Great Khali

Slow, lumbering, rigid, slow, dull, and slow are just some of the words some people use to describe The Great Khali's in-ring performances. One of those people was sadly not Vince McMahon, who couldn't get enough of the guy - so much so that he booked him to win the World Heavyweight Championship in 2007.

Khali won the title after bumbling his way around a Battle Royal and throwing out Kane and Batista. He then celebrated his first-ever World championship victory...

...by holding the belt the wrong way up, which is the dictionary definition of a "bad omen".

The Khali experiment lasted just 61 days before he lost the title to Batista. Khali hung around the main event for a while - including a match for the WWE Championship against Triple H at SummerSlam - before taking on a much more suitable comedic role in the final years of his career.

Despite his main event history, wrestling fans never really took Khali seriously as a top champion. He was encumbered by his size and limited mobility which often made for terrible matches. Thankfully, he only won the World title - or any title for that matter - once in WWE.
