20 UFC Prospects Destined For Big Things In 2020
16. Geoff Neal
Geoff Neal has quietly made a name for himself in the UFC's welterweight division, having some standout performances inside the Octagon. Since making his official debut for the promotion last February, Neal has been on an absolute tear, creating highlight reel moments at every opportunity.
Firstly, he has some very powerful striking, making him a knockout threat to anyone in the division. Look at his vicious head kick knockout of Frank Camacho. When it connected, it sounded like a baseball bat getting smashed against a brick wall. His last victory, against wild 170lber Niko Price also showed that even when an opponent is throwing everything but the kitchen sink at him, he can remain calm and pick his moments to strike.
Despite a submission win over Brian Camozzi in his debut, we're yet to really see how good Neal is on the ground. That's mostly because he's been successful at beating opponents up on the feet. While it's not quite clear how good his grappling is just yet, what is clear is that if his fights stay in the striking realm, 2020 might be the breakout year for Handz of Steel.
