20 WCW Easter Eggs, References And In-Jokes You Never Noticed

13. Brian Pillman Debuts In ECW At Cyberslam '96

Brian Pillman's brilliant use of his "Loose Cannon" persona to free himself of his WCW contract to only end up as a massively-hyped WWF-signed talent is nothing short of incredible. Key as a stop between his time in the WWF was his time in ECW, which kicked off with an appearance at Philadelphia's ECW Arena for Cyberslam '96. Important to note about this interview segment with Joey Styles is that nobody in the industry save likely Pillman and Bischoff truly know the status of Pillman with WCW. Thus, this incredibly scathing promo and overall captivating segment involving airing criticisms and dirty laundry about WCW is more impressive in that it served potentially making money for Pillman in WCW (again), making ECW super cool and also setting up his eventual jump to the WWF. Bravo, Brian Pillman, you legend!
