CM Punk in AEW was a fun sprint that ended without incident. Only joking. Everyone knows the drama by now, but it's easy to forget just how buzzed the wrestling world was when Punk became #AllElite in 2021. His debut promo on Rampage and first match vs. Darby Allin at All Out that September played before huge interest.

An AEW World Title win always felt inevitable, and it happened at Double Or Nothing 2022. There, Punk toppled close personal friend and confidant (ahem) Hangman Page for the belt. Things didn't really go to sh*t until after that glorious high in Las Vegas. By September, just one year after his debut bout, everything was messy.

That win over Hangman was only Punk's 20th on-air showing for Tony Khan's league.
