20 WWE Retirements That Meant Absolutely Nothing

15. Big Show (2013)

Big Show€™s €œretirement€ was not only lame, it was nonsensical. A year prior, Show had signed an ironclad, non-terminable contract (in the storyline) that stated he couldn€™t get fired. Yet, because he went up against The Authority, he was fired by Stephanie. Show did mention his ironclad contract, but apparently nothing came of it, and he was fired anyway. Show wasn€™t even gone two weeks before he got his job back and was stuck into the main event of the 2013 Survivor Series against Randy Orton while more interesting wrestlers like CM Punk and Daniel Bryan were teaming together in a lower card match against the Wyatt Family.
