20 WWE Wrestlers Who Hated Each Other In Real Life

Bret Hart and Ric Flair are two of the most divisive personalities in wrestling history, so perhaps it’s no surprise that they don’t get along.

While there’s no real on-camera incident to point towards, the two wrestling legends have taken endless shorts at each other over the past couple of decades. Whether through interviews, books, or podcasts, Hart and Flair are never short of things to say about each other, and the results are rarely positive.

It all kicked-off when Hart famously called Flair “the most overrated wrestler in the history of professional wrestling". Responding in true Nature Boy fashion, Flair’s rebuttal was to claim he had absolutely no idea who The Hitman was, despite his decades of experience in the business.

In the following years, Flair has criticised Hart for over-exposing and shamelessly cashing-in on Owen Hart’s tragic 1999 death, as well as the incidents and drama leading-up to and after the Montreal Screwjob. Flair also famously criticised Hart’s ability to draw in the United States, suggesting that he was only ever a true headlining act in his native Canada, despite The Hitman’s WWE success.

With both Flair and Hart now heading-up their own wrestling podcasts, look for the bitterness to continue between these two old curmudgeons (even if they have made peace for the time being).
