7. AJ Lee & The Bella Twins
While not quite as fiery and polemical as her future husband CM Punk, AJ Lee was never shy in expressing her true opinions, particularly during the latter stages of her WWE career. Brie & Nikki Bella were by far her most frequent targets, and she attacked them with numerous verbal barbs throughout her tenure with the company.
On the August 26th, 2013 episode of Monday Night Raw, Lee delivered an impassioned rant against the cast of Total Divas, stating:
“I have done more in one year than all of you have done in your collective careers. I have saved your Divas division, I have shattered glass ceilings, I have broken down doors”.
While technically aimed at the entire cast, it’s widely accepted that the shoot was targeted specifically at the Bellas, and the sniping continued over the years. There was, of course, the line about talent not being 'sexually transmitted', too.
After winning the Slammy Award for Diva of the Year in 2014, AJ made a point of saying she hoped that anyone other than the Bellas would win it the following year, which didn’t end well for her.
Nikki Bella won the award in 2015, and shattered AJ’s status as the longest-reigning Divas Champion of all-time with a 336-day reign of her own.
