18. 'We Want Sting'
Seth Rollins opened the show with a standard promo running down his workload at Night of Champions. He'll beat Sting and he'll beat Cena, make history yada yada yada. At the mention of 'The Icon's' name, fans began to chant for him. Wishful thinking on their part, clearly. You're not gonna get him, folks. This is Smackdown, not Raw or a PPV (or Network special, if you will). Sting is in Florida, probably playing golf or working out or selling some real estate. He's not slumming it on the C show (NXT is clearly the B show these days). Rollins tried to placate them a little by saying 'you're gonna get Sting, oh you're gonna get him...and at Night of Champions I'm going to show...' So he's not turning up tonight them huh, Seth? Great.
