21 WWE Stars Who Have Wrestled The Most Smackdown Matches

6. Kurt Angle - 215 Matches

The other man who defined so much of Smackdown's reputation was Kurt Angle. Like Benoit, he was a fantastic pro wrestler. He had some of his finest matches on the blue brand, especially the one hour iron man against Brock Lesnar in September 2003. Angle had appeared regularly on Smackdown from the get-go, becoming an exclusive to the brand in 2002. It stayed that way up until his Raw move in 2005, although he'd be drafted back to Smackdown a year later. A few months after that, he was drafted to the new ECW, and a few months after that he left WWE. The thing about Angle, he actually missed significant time due to injuries. His number of matches could have been so much more, especially if he had managed to stay with WWE beyond 2006. But fans will always have the memories, so many great matches against the likes of Benoit, Mysterio, Lesnar, Edge, Guerrero and so many more. Angle was right in the thick of what made Smackdown great.
