25 Best Chris Jericho Moments

Following a rather lackluster run with the Intercontinental title and drifting around on Raw with no real direction for his character, Chris Jericho formulated an idea to have a unique and exciting concept at WrestleMania 21 while getting himself on the card in an important match.

The concept was the Money in the Bank ladder match. A six-man ladder match where the winner would receive a world title shot at any point in the coming year thanks to a contract inside of a briefcase.

The first match was a spectacle violence as ladder shots were exchanged willingly and Shelton Benjamin put on a show for the ages with his acrobatic and athletic performance. Benoit even busted himself open delivering a diving headbutt off of the ladder and onto Kane.

In the end, Edge claimed the Money in the Bank briefcase on his way to main event status but Jericho played a large role in getting the match started and getting it over as a concept.
