25 Best Chris Jericho Moments

While a member of the WCW's cruiserweight division, Jericho floundered around as an opening match guy as a traditional babyface. It wasn't until Jericho turned heel that his career really took off and he became the star that he deserved to be. 

Jericho turned on Rey Mysterio to start his heel run and began collecting trophies from various babyfaces to ramp up his jerk factor, such as Juventud Guerrera's mask. He then set his sights on Dean Malenko and that turned into one of the best segments WCW ever produced.

Jericho defeated Malenko at Uncensored, forcing Malenko to take time off to evaluate his career. Jericho used this time to mock Malenko at every turn, calling him "Bore-us Malenko", a takeoff on Dean's father, Boris. Jericho was relentless and Malenko became a bigger babyface by being off television than he was while on it.

At Slamboree 1998, JJ Dillon announced a cruiserweight battle royal with the winner immediately receiving a shot at Jericho's title. Jericho handled the introductions himself and hilariously ran down every wrestler. At the end of the match, only Juventud Guerrera and the masked wrestlers Ciclope remained.

Amazingly, Guerrera shook Ciclope's hand and then eliminated himself from the match, temporarily confusing fans. It wasn't until Ciclope unmasked to reveal that he was actually Dean Malenko that the crowd came absolutely unglued.

Malenko soundly defeated Jericho to win the cruiserweight title and it became one of the best moments in WCW's history
