25 Best Moments Of WWE Monday Night RAW (Year-By-Year)

8. 2010: The Nexus Make Themselves Known

Let us light a candle for what might have been.

Here we had all these rookies from NXT. These bright, passionate, promising young talents, and also David Otunga, who were ready to do anything to make themselves known. And boy did they do everything to the RAW set and crew on their fateful debut.

Now sure, a new stable debuting by way of wrecking everything isn't exactly a new or novel concept, even in 2010, but for its time, it's exactly what was needed. In an era of WWE that seemed so safe and predictable, with a squeaky clean image smothering everything and the same handful of stars on top, to have these young, unproven talent in black gear assaulting people and destroying property felt like a proper shakeup of the system.

Of course, Nexus' momentum would be squandered in the months to come, and most of the members never found true success in WWE, but for a time, and especially with this segment, it seemed as though they were ready to take over RAW.
