5. 2013: The Great Hijacking
An iconic audience hijacking needs to have all the right ingredients. Yes, a bunch of jack*sses in the crowd can start chanting "CM Punk" at a segment they don't like, but in order to go down in memory, it's a matter of time, place, and people. This segment from 9 December 2013 RAW had all three in spades.
Featuring various former World Champions (including Daniel Bryan) standing in the ring, the segment was designed to hype up the upcoming title unification match between John Cena and Randy Orton. The problem, however, was that Bryan was at the height of his popularity, was being pushed down the card, and this particular segment occurred in Bryan's native Seattle.
As a result, the crowd paid no mind to the build for Cena/Orton 19: Back 2 Da Hood, and instead focused all their energy on chanting for Daniel Bryan, forcing everyone (including Triple H and Stephanie) to stop what they were doing and pay attention.
It's a truly powerful segment, and shows what the audience is capable of when they aren't busy faffing around with beach balls.
