Looking more monstrous than he ever would again despite needing new gear to hide a back brace and mask the pain that came with it, Andre The Giant's stoicism alongside beaming charlatan Bobby Heenan was a powerful hit of reality ahead of one of wrestling's all-time fantasy bookings

'The Brain' had poisoned his mind and brought him back to the dance. In kayfabe, never again would the two share a bond as strong as the one between them during the mini-ring ride to the WrestleMania III squared circle. Heenan was dressed to the nines for a moment he secretly wanted and needed more than Andre himself, while wrestling's most famous Giant was about to knowingly play his part in what many still consider the industry's most famous moment.

In his best tails, trousers and epaulettes, Heenan looked the part as the ringmaster, manipulating and unleashing the most dangerous animal for his personal gain in the one-ring circus he'd made his home. Night one of the alliance and Andre was already sharing the spotlight .Ostensibly emotionless as the motorised cart pootled to the ring, the glare from the eyes of the world was hidden by an artfully stunning single spotlight that followed their path. It created a tunnel of light that served to obscure and separate them from an enormous crowd that were rooting for Hogan to come good against these latest insurmountable odds.
