25 Most Iconic WWE Ring Entrances Ever

22. Jey Uso (SummerSlam 2023)

Seth Rollins
WWE

The origin story of a four-letter phenomenon that ultimately carried Jey Uso all the way to the World Heavyweight Championship, SummerSlam 2023 marked the first time the former multi-time Tag Team Champion ever courted crowd participation with the "YEET' chant and hand gesture on such a vast scale, and it transformed every single perception of what he had to offer.

The Roman Reigns Bloodline saga had started with him trying to beat some respect into Uso, but it looked like it might actually end with the same man when Jey so impressively galvanised the support from the audience and transferred into something that could be imitated and bizarrely so universally beloved. There have been nights where more fans have YEETed, where the involvement of younger fans or the raising of the stakes after the bell have made the responses more impassioned or simply in greater number. But none of it realistically gets there without the Detroit Day One-ish'ers at SummerSlam.

Meanwhile during the reason for all them to be there, the (bad) match infamously ended with a Jimmy Uso heel turn, foreshadowing another (even worse) match that had to take place between the siblings whether any of us really wanted to watch it or not. But rather than the conclusion, it was the opening salvo that powered the pair all the way to a cursed WrestleMania stage
