25 Most Important Wrestlers In NXT History
12. Enzo And Cass
Scandals and personal issues aside, Enzo Amore and Colin Cassidy were one of the most over acts in NXT history.
Enzo and Cass burst onto the scene in 2013, forming an alliance to take on Mason Ryan (remember him?). "The Realest Guys In The Room" started to get over with their snappy catchphrases, antics outside of the ring, and their well-structured tag team matches.
They were eventually joined by Cassidy's then-girlfriend, Carmella, who added another layer to the act. Enzo and Cass entered the NXT Tag Team Championship picture, but were always unsuccessful. This didn't stop them from having great matches and memorable feuds with Blake and Murphy or The Revival and the argument always circulated that they were so popular that they didn't need the belts.
Enzo and Cass' fall from grace was spectacular and completely shocking. At the time, it seemed like this loveable babyface tag team could do no wrong, but their personal lives sadly got in the way and now both of them have been seemingly blacklisted from WWE.
Despite this, it is undeniable that this team were one of the most popular home grown acts in WWE's recent history and that they were instrumental in making NXT the roaring success it is today.
