Now the dust has well and truly settled on WrestleMania week and all of the chaos and spectacle that comes with that whirlwind period, WWE now have their sights firmly set on the future; a future that will see them stepping straight back into the past, with the hilariously titled WrestleMania Backlash the next PPV stop on the calendar. So much for that then.

After under-delivering across both the supposed "main roster" shows when it came to 'Mania 37 fallout, the bar was set pretty low for the red and blue brand coming into this week. If you've watched even five minutes of either programme in the last year, it'll come as little surprise to hear that Friday nights delivered a riveting step-up in quality and booking, while Monday... well... took T-BAR and MACE's masks off about six months too late.

NXT, slowly finding its footing on Tuesdays, tried its best to make up for Raw's bloated sh*tshow, but not even the sight of 'Cool Kyle' arriving on the scene and Io Shirai fighting a war for 'cat people' everywhere could mask the stench of the 'flagship'.

But there's no time to linger on the good, the bad, and the Lilly, as next week may see Daniel Bryan waving goodbye to his blue home, should he not come away with Roman Reigns' Universal Championship in the SmackDown main event, that is. Whereas Raw will see the aforementioned former RETRIBUTION boys in a rematch.

The same people write these shows, folks...
