25 Worst Wrestling Moments Of 2021

2021 was truly a vintage year for Vince McMahon's atrocious creative decisions. Most of these lamentable stories were played out by unfortunate members of his roster, but Survivor Series 2021 saw Vince himself involved in one of the year's most ridiculous angles. 

WWE was trying to entice The Rock to come to Survivor Series to celebrate 25 years since his WWE debut. 'The Great One' was in Europe shooting a movie, but he had just released Red Notice on Netflix. IN a year that involved all manner of terrible product tie-ins, Vince McMahon arrived at the Barclays Center in New York, greeted by cheering members of the WWE locker room, holding what he claimed to be Cleopatra's golden egg in a nod to The Great One's new movie.

McMahon proudly showed Roman Reigns his golden egg, but in a later segment, the precious artifact was stolen. The entire WWE roster was ordered to come to the following night's episode of Raw to get to the bottom of who committed this crime. Why we were supposed to care about any of this was entirely unclear, but Vince announced that whoever found the egg would be rewarded. This led to Sami Zayn telling Mr. McMahon that Austin Theory was the guilty party. Theory admitted to stealing the egg, revealing that he wanted to take a selfie with it (!). McMahon then awarded Theory a WWE title shot that night for showing intestinal fortitude. Just so we're clear, stealing Vince's gold egg led to the same prize as winning the Royal Rumble. Absolute rubbish.
