6. Max Caster Shames AEW

Max Caster
AEW

Max Caster's raps played a massive part in getting The Acclaimed over in AEW. Playing off the '8 Mile'-style battle rap culture, Caster would come out spitting bars at his opponents, using current pop culture references that went over so well that he even landed a job at TMZ doing more of this shctick.

Caster regularly sailed close to the wind of decency with how far he pushed the boundaries of taste with these raps, but on the 100th episode of AEW Dark, Max let himself and AEW down. Using Olympian Simone Biles's withdrawal from the Tokyo Olympics due to mental health issues as a punchline, he went on to question the legitimacy of the COVID-19 virus and used the Duke Lacrosse team's sexual assault charges as ill-advised comic insults in his pre-match rap.

AEW took him off TV as a result, and several of his independent circuit appearances were cancelled, but it was Max's response that made a lot of people lose patience with him. Instead of owning that he'd taken things too far and refining his act, Caster took to social media to essentially accuse everyone of being too sensitive. It is an incident from which his reputation has never really recovered.
