25 Worst Wrestling Moments Of 2025

17. Kit Wilson's "Toxic Masculinity" Persona

The Rock WWE WrestleMania 42 Announcement
WWE

At the start of 2025, Pretty Deadly were an extremely useful unit for WWE, serving as an over act that teams in the fairly competitive doubles division could beat en route to winning the titles. Loads of pairs won the gold, loads of them thus needed to score a win over Pretty Deadly, and as warm comedic foils, the British duo stayed over enough to keep the machine rolling.

With a loss to Fraxiom in May, it came to a screeching halt, and Kit Wilson's rote comeback on SmackDown has been the disappointing and retrograde outcome. On the off chance that WWE Unreal didn't highlight the lack of diversity at the company's top table, simply listen to the words coming out of Wilson's mouth before he's thrown through walls or wheeled down some stairs.

Vitriol of fossils misplacing terms they've read on social media to take pops at younger/different/left leaning/other portions of the fanbase who perhaps don't like everything served to them by the market leader. Consumers, mind you. Consumers, who are consuming at a strong rate and being charged the most in history for the privilege.

History always repeats too - these characters always come around when wrestling products cool. Potshots at the audience aren't exactly top of the priority list when the customers are actually satisfied.
