1. William Regal vs. Daniel Bryan (November 10, 2011)
Any longtime viewer of 'WWE Superstars' knew this top spot was never in doubt. Not only was this the single greatest match in the show's history, it easily lands a spot among the best bouts of Daniel Bryan's WWE career. Despite winning the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder match in July 2011, Bryan was mostly relegated to competing on 'Superstars', appearing on the Thursday night program more often than SmackDown. When WWE traveled across the pond to England that November, they decided to give the fans in attendance a treat by having William Regal wrestle a rare TV match against his protege, Daniel Bryan. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IhcpAEnvdSw While Bryan and Regal seldom crossed paths in WWE prior to this point, the history behind this bout was there. The commentators laid the foundation for this match perfectly by discussing how it was the student vs. the teacher. Although Bryan was supposed to be the babyface, the English audience took more of a liking to their native hero Regal instead. The two put on an absolute clinic that also told a sensational story. In the end, Bryan secured the LaBelle Lock to force Regal to submit, earning his respect in the process. If that wasn't great enough, "A Real Man's Man" playing as William Regal made his way to the ring certainly was. That moment alone made this the best bout to ever be contested on 'Superstars'.
