3 More Ups And 3 More Downs From WWE WrestleMania XXXIII

1. Goldberg Goes Out On His Shield

Sunday night was most likely the last match in Goldberg’s wrestling career. He could have goldbricked the match, but he did anything but.

Rather than taking one high-impact move from Brock Lesnar and losing in sudden fashion, the 50-year-old Goldberg dished out several spears (including one through the barricade) and took 10 German suplexes from Lesnar before eating an F-5. It was a short match (less than five minutes), but it was an energetic, hard-hitting bout.

Fans knew that Goldberg and Lesnar weren’t going to have a 20-minute scientific classic, but their title match ended up being a good contest for the former WCW icon to hang up his career on. Kudos to him for going all-out in his (presumably) last match.
