3 Ups & 2 Downs From This Week's Impact Wrestling (Feb 15)

Ups...

3. Definitive Conclusion

Tessa Blanchard and Taya Valkyrie's rivalry exceeded the length of time it should've went on for. When Taya won the Knockouts Championship at Homecoming, that could've and should've ended the feud, especially since Tessa moved on to a new programme with Gail Kim following the pay-per-view. It didn't make sense for it to continue, but this match here is a great example of why Impact kept it going.

There's no denying the chemistry the pair have together. When they step in the ring opposite one another, magic is created. With the added stipulation of it being a Street Fight, it added that extra dynamic. Sure, there were some moments of the bout that weren't the best but some things just can't be helped, such as that table that didn't break. The bulk of the match was another excellent contest between champion and challenger.

Hopefully, this is now the end of the pair's rivalry. There's nothing more Impact can do with this feud for the time being, so now's the best time to call it a day. Have someone like Jordynne Grace take Tessa's spot as the next challenger while she goes on to pastures new.
