3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Feb 23 - Results & Review)

2. More Of The Same (But It Worked)

The Young Bucks Tony Schiavone
AEW

It's up for debate whether The Young Bucks needed another squash match win, but their condescending promo afterwards about everyone from Darby Allin and Sting to Tony Schiavone and the fans was top stuff. The brothers are properly embracing this heel EVP stuff - it's the most interesting they've been as characters in years.

Fans are in on the gag too. They refused to follow Matthew's lead when he encouraged an "AEW! AEW! AEW!" chant from the masses. That's a good sign, and it shows people just fancy seeing Sting and Darby smack The Bucks around at Revolution. In retrospect, they look like fine picks for the Stinger's last match.

That isn't something this guy thought he'd be saying, to be totally honest. You've got to give Matt and...sorry, Matthew and Nicholas kudos for showing a different side to their act in 2024 though. They've breathed new life into The Young Bucks gimmick by going rogue.

Can't wait to see what's next after Revolution.
