3 Ups & 4 Downs From AEW Rampage (Nov 5)

1. Setting It Up On Rampage

CM Punk Eddie Kingston

The face-to-face gets a second 'Up' just for the platform it happened on too. Rampage hinged on this confrontation, and that meant it stood out as something impactful. Would that be the case on a jam-packed Dynamite? Maybe/maybe not, but it didn't hurt that Kingston and Punk had the floor to themselves on Friday.

They definitely made Rampage feel important.

Seeing a pull apart brawl erupt between stars like Punk and Kingston made this week's program must-see stuff. That's not something people will say about Rampage every single Friday, but AEW got it right this time. This showdown made Rampage the ideal accompaniment (or extension) to Dynamite, which is what it should be.

Nobody phoned it in, put it that way. This was one of the better verbal duels AEW has ever produced, and that's a credit to Kingston's fire and Punk's star power. These guys are brewing up something memorable. Hopefully, they deliver the goods come Full Gear.
